Dedication of Cameroon

Elder Holland dedicates the country of CameroonWe were privileged to be able to witness the dedication of the country of Cameroon to the preaching of the Gospel. Cameroon is the northern-most part of our mission. Our North American missionaries serve here. We also have two senior couples here.  The four local branch presidents all attended this ceremony along with our area president, Elder Paul Koelliker and his wife.

It's so great to see the phenomenal growth in Cameroon. I served part of my mission there in 2004-5 when there was just one small branch in Yaounde. I look forward to going back someday.

President and Sister Headlee,

I am not sure exactly how I came about your blog, and because I am posting on a rather old post, I am not sure if you will even see that I wrote. However I just had to say hi and say a few things. Mbote et Bonjour! This is an incredible time, and I am so incredibly happy to hear that Cameroon has finally been dedicated! I taught a number of people from the Cameroon and the Congo while I was on my mission in Belgium. I learned a few phrases in Lingala as well. So do you speak mostly french, english, lingala, etc? I have no idea how long you have been there or anything but wanted to say "bon chance" and that this is incredible news! I hope you are both doing well, I can't even imagine the experience this has been for you. I would love to have the opportunity to serve as you too have done. Au Revoir!
